Home Builder, Mungo, Reports Record Month

COLUMBIA, SC – May 4, 2009 –  Mungo Homes is pleased to announce a record sales month for April 2009.  Reporting 42 contracts, Mungo Homes broke the previous record of 37 sales that was reported during the height of the housing market in April 2005.

Principal Steven Mungo believes that strong sales are a culmination of several things.  “As a company, we’ve made a concerted effort to educate the public that this really IS a great time to buy.  With historically low interest rates, a great selection of available homes, and creative loan programs, people understand the opportunities in the market.  Mungo has also re-tooled product and pricing to more accurately reflect what people want to buy now.  And people want to buy from a stable company with prominence and a strong history.  They know we’ll still be in business tomorrow.”

Sister company Harbor Homes in Charleston also enjoyed a record sales month; and 1st American Builders in Raleigh, also a Mungo company, reported an increase over previous months.
