Sponsors Needed for Relay for Life
October 29, 2008COLUMBIA, SC – September 22, 2008 – Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s well known overnight event established to bring those touched by cancer together with a common goal of raising money to eliminate cancer. Participants spend from 7:00pm Friday to 7:00am Saturday morning walking a track in a relay style, raising money and having fun with onsite salsa lessons, belly dancing, petting zoo, bounce houses, magic shows and more.
Alala, LLC is looking for corporate sponsorships, survivors and relay teams to participate in the Relay for Life of Downtown Columbia being held April 17-18, 2009 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.
“This event is dear to my heart since my sister and I are both breast cancer survivors in 2007 and 2005 respectively, said Kim Zeise Neel- President of Alala, LLC.
“I recently lost my aunt and a fellow Girl Scout to esophageal cancer. This type of cancer is virtually unheard of and I lost two people dear to me from it in 3 months. We must stop cancer! Early detection saves lives. I ‘relay’ to get the word out,” said Sherry Norris – CEO of Alala, LLC
This will be Alala, LLC’s second year chairing and coordinating the Downtown Relay for Life. They are a unique boutique that sells products needed by post surgical cancer patients and offers support to their customers through patient advocacy.
