Kurt Rozelsky Named Vice Chair of DRI Committee

Greenville attorney to help guide Trucking Law Committee

GREENVILLE, SC – October 27, 2008 – Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP attorney Kurt M. Rozelsky has been appointed Vice Chair of the Trucking Law Committee for the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the national membership organization for all lawyers involved in the defense of civil litigation.  Rozelsky will serve a one-year term in his appointment.

The Trucking Law Committee works as a legal advocate to address the concerns of the trucking industry through continuing education programs, seminars, teleconferences, articles and newsletters.  As vice chair, Rozelsky will help oversee the educational opportunities provided by DRI and continue the Committee’s close ties to the trucking and trucking insurance industries.

A member of the firm’s litigation practice, Rozelsky serves as the Litigation Practice Area Leader for the Greenville, SC office where he primarily represents insurance companies and business entities in litigated matters.  The majority of his practice is devoted to insurance and tort litigation, including the defense of transportation accidents, products liability, insurance coverage disputes and other cases involving insurance carriers. Rozelsky also advises trucking companies on risk management and safety issues. Rozelsky is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Georgia School of Law.
