Primesouth Inc. Announces Investment and Growth in Fairfield County

RIDGEWAY and COLUMBIA, SC – October 28, 2008 – Fairfield County, the Central S.C. Alliance and the Department of Commerce announced that Primesouth Inc. will locate its corporate headquarters, operations and maintenance business and its newly created sister company, Primesouth Trade Services LLC, in the Walter B. Brown II Industrial Park in Ridgeway. The company will invest $1.68 million in the construction of office space and a training facility and will employ 400 people over the next five years. Primesouth will break ground in early 2009 and plans to begin operations in Fairfield County in mid-2009.

Our goal is to bring much needed job opportunities to the county through our training school which will provide the technical skills required for the jobs we will also provide,” said Dean Bain, president, Primesouth Inc.
Primesouth Inc. provides operating and maintenance services for power generating, utility and industrial facilities. The company has successfully grown its business and created a new sister company, Primesouth Trade Services (PTS). PTS will provide skilled labor support specializing in welders, pipefitters, millwrights and other industrial construction and maintenance trades. The Fairfield County location will serve as the training site for these skilled craftsmen. The PTS model is designed to train and certify craftsmen, ensuring that the company can meet its customers’ needs.
