Elliott Davis Professional One of First to Earn Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Certificate
August 19, 2008GREENWOOD, SC – August 19, 2008 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the Southeast’s largest accounting and business advisory firms, announced that Charles W. Schulze, a CPA financial forensics expert with the firm, has been awarded one of the first Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Certificates by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The CFF Credential, established in 2008 by the AICPA, is granted to qualified CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial forensics.
Schulze met the requirements to earn the CFF credential, which include demonstrating significant business experience in the area of financial forensics, as well as completing a minimum of 75 hours of life-long learning and education activities in the area of financial forensics. The CFF Credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. CPAs who have earned the CFF Credential must be recertified every three years to maintain their credential.
For more than 30 years, Schulze, a licensed CPA in South Carolina, has provided comprehensive tax, accounting and consulting services to Elliott Davis clients, including financial institutions, manufacturing concerns, non-profits and real estate developers. In addition to the CFF certification, Schulze is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Schulze received a bachelor’s of accounting degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina. He is a former Chairman of the South Carolina Board of Accountancy and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Medical University of South Carolina.
