Doctors Care Gives Back Over $10,000 to SC Schools

December 4, 2007

COLUMBIA, SC – December 4, 2007 – Irmo High School received a $660 check from Doctors Care in November – the largest contribution among 20 Midlands’ schools that participated in Doctors Care sports physical program.

Doctors Care has provided family care, including sports physicals at a special rate for many years. This year, to encourage participation by as many students as possible, Doctors Care made a financial contribution to participating schools when their student athletes got sports physicals in any of the Doctors Care centers across the state. Over 2,100 students representing 48 schools participated.

“We’re excited to give back to the schools in our community in such a tangible way,” said Dr. Michael Stout, President and CEO. “Our thanks to Time Warner, Comcast and Charter Media who teamed with us to get the word out. We hope to reach even more student athletes next year.”
