Hendrix Earns MAI Distinction

COLUMBIA, SC – November 5, 2007 – Debora A. Hendrix of Integra Realty Resources – S.C. was awarded the MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) designation October 15, becoming one of only 91 appraisers in South Carolina to hold that prestigious title.

She was honored during the October 26 meeting of the South Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute at Kiawah Island.

To earn the MAI designation, appraisers must complete an extensive 380-hour graduate-level curriculum punctuated with a two-day comprehensive exam and a demonstration appraisal report.

MAI designees must also log more than 4,500 hours of strictly scrutinized professional experience and pledge to uphold the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the Appraisal Institute’s Standards of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.

Hendrix is the Director of the Columbia office of Integra Realty Resources, which is North America’s largest appraisal and counseling firm. During more than 20 years in the appraisal industry, Hendrix has served as a valuation consultant for all sorts of properties, developing a reputation for handling larger multi-tenant office buildings, neighborhood/community retail centers, manufacturing facilities, industrial parks and special purpose properties.
