Holmes Smith Developments Enters into a New Era

Columbia, SC—  July 12, 2007 – Holmes Smith Developments has been a leader in build-to- suit real estate development projects for the past 20 years.  Marty Holmes and Bill Smith created their company with a vision of satisfying clients long term needs and now find HSD at a crossroad of expansion and restructuring. Smith will leave Holmes Smith Developments to form his own company and Marty Holmes will continue to lead the operations for HSD.

Clients of the Columbia-based firm include: Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, Adidas USA, IKON Office Solutions, Westvaco Corporation, Bellsouth Telecommunications, Fleet Corporate Properties, and Harbor Freight Tools USA.  HSD is also well known for having brought one of Columbia South Carolina’s most unique historic properties back from ruin when they renovated the Confederate Printing Plant for Publix Super Markets in 2004.
