Jim Garrett, MCR joins Colliers International | South Carolina as Market President in Charleston

Experienced commercial real estate leader and brokerage services expert brings decades of experience to South Carolina

Colliers International | South Carolina announced today that James R. (Jim) Garrett, Jr., MCR, has joined the company as Market President in Charleston. In Garrett’s new role, he will be responsible for the management of Colliers’ Charleston area brokerage staff, recruiting and business development as well as community and civic affairs and economic development. He will also serve on the company’s statewide Management Committee and its Board of Directors.

Garrett comes to South Carolina after eight years with Colliers International in Columbus, Ohio where he served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director. Prior to joining Colliers | Columbus, he was associated with NAI Global as Executive Vice President of its national brokerage services group.

While in Ohio, Garrett was responsible for launching Colliers’ Cleveland office, serving as Chair of Colliers Managers’ National Steering Committee and was a regular speaker on the subject of commercial real estate at The Ohio State University Center for Real Estate. He is a member of the Midwest Real Estate Magazine’s Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame and holds the MCR designation.

Jim and his wife, Julie, have two adult children and two grandchildren.
