July passenger counts at #iflyCHS soar 20 percent higher

In July, the Charleston International Airport passenger counts increased ed by 20 percent over July 2017. To date, 2.6 million people has flown in and out of CHS in 2018.

In July:

  • Enplanements – the number of people boarding a flight at CHS – rose 19.3 percent from 189,039 people last year to 225,590 people this year
  • Deplanements – those people flying into CHS – climbed 21 percent from 186,237 people last year to 224,693 people this year
  • Total passenger counts for January through July rose by nearly 275,000 people compared with the same period in 2017 – 2,576,946 people compared with 2,302,094 last year.

Robust air service improvements along with a growing business/manufacturing and tourist sectors have helped Charleston International consistently grow over the last decade.
