Frontier Airlines launches nonstop service to Twin Cities

August 14, 2018
Starting Wednesday, Frontier Airlines will offer seasonal nonstop flights to
Minneapolis-St. Paul each Wednesday and Saturday. The ultra-low-cost carrier is
one of eight airlines giving travelers the ability to fly nonstop from the Lowcountry
to 25 cities and 30 airports in the U.S.
“The Twin Cities is a diverse and vibrant metropolitan area that offers great
shopping, professional athletic teams in every major sport and dining that will
please any taste. We hope Lowcountry residents take advantage of the chance to
visit the Midwest and we look forward to welcoming guests from Minnesota to
Charleston,” said Paul G. Campbell Jr., executive director and CEO of the
Charleston County Aviation Authority.
Frontier Airlines flew into Charleston International Airport for the first time in
February with service to Denver and Philadelphia. Before the first flight took off
from Concourse B, the airline announced it would also fly nonstop to Trenton, N.J.,
a popular travel hub for those going into New York City, as well as Austin, the live
music capital of the world and the Texas home to the annual South by Southwest
Music Festival. By spring this year Frontier has also added Chicago to its list of
destinations.
