Construction on the “Big Dam Swamp Fire Station” is underway

Construction on the Big Dam Swamp Fire Station is moving right along. Coastal Structures, aleading commercial and industrial construction firm serving the South Carolina Lowcountry, was selected to complete the fire station because of the company’s successful and long-standing relationship with Georgetown County.

Designed by Tych and Walker Architects, the new fire station will be a 5,000 square-foot two-bay building, with a total cost of $946,600. Located about four miles north of Andrews, the building is expected to be complete in November 2018.

With the recent completion of The City of Georgetown Fire Station #2, Coastal Structures has completed a wide variety of government buildings including courthouses, fire stations, offices, and police stations; civic buildings including auditoriums, community centers, libraries, and museums; and special purpose buildings including airport terminals and hangers.
