McMillan Pazdan Smith expands sports studio with national leadership

With strong momentum and a growing sports architecture portfolio, McMillan Pazdan Smith has added significant depth to their talented team with the addition of Geoff Clever, AIA.
In his role as Sports and Recreation Studio Director, Clever will apply the strong relationships with Power 5 Colleges and Universities he has built for 25 years and a history of demonstrated leadership in sports architecture to contribute immediately to the firm’s momentum across the Southeast. He will lead much of the studio’s day-to-day business development, marketing and operational functions based out of the firm’s Charleston, SC office, while Kurt Ludwick, AIA, also Sports and Recreation Studio Director, will continue to focus on design leadership from the firm’s Spartanburg, SC office.

The firm’s Sports and Recreation Studio has assisted with the planning and design of over 150 athletic venues. Our portfolio includes facilities for baseball, softball, football, soccer, tennis and track — and also features field houses, locker rooms and restrooms, concessions, training, wellness, and multi-purpose sports buildings of all shapes and sizes. Many of the firm’s architects are also avid athletes, having lettered in collegiate or professional sports.
