SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar partners with WINGS for Kids to give back through Kitchen Karma program

January 29, 2018

Starting Thursday, February 1st through Sunday, March 18, SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar in Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston and Summerville will be partnering with WINGS for Kids to raise money through the restaurant’s Kitchen Karma program. This local charity is dedicated to providing at-risk children the social and emotional skills to succeed and stay in school, and thrive in life.

Through its Kitchen Karma program, SOL partners with a local nonprofit organization and donates $1 from every featured Kitchen Karma item sold in that time period to the partnering charity. The featured items for the WINGS for Kids partnership include the Wild Mushroom Quesadilla and Blood Orange Margarita.

“We are looking forward to partnering with WINGS for Kids over the next six weeks,” explains David Clark, owner of SOL. “The work they do to help at-risk kids develop the skills they need to succeed in school is so important and we are excited to be a part of it.”

Since opening in November of 2013, SOL has raised $52,537 for local organizations. That number continues to grow with each Kitchen Karma partnership. Before partnering with WINGS for Kids, SOL also partnered with Windwood Farm Home & Family Services, MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, My Sister’s House, One80 Place, Birthdays for All, Chase After a Cure and Mai Moms during 2017.
