January 10, 2018

The James Smith for South Carolina campaign today filed its fundraising report with the South Carolina Ethics Commission for the 4th quarter of 2017. The report shows the campaign raised more than $525,000 from more than 2,400 donors making thousands of contributions, most totaling less than $100.

“I am inspired by the more than 2,400 people that have invested in this campaign in the first three months since we entered the race,” said Rep. Smith. “I look forward to continuing to share my positive vision for South Carolina over the coming months with voters from all parts of the state.

The fundraising total shows voters are connecting with James Smith’s vision for a South Carolina that achieves her fullest potential by fixing our energy policies, improving our schools, and unleashing the full power of our workforce.

This report was driven by a grassroots effort of donors from across South Carolina – more than 97 percent were gifts from in-state donors, and more than 80 percent of donations were less than $100.
