Stantec broadens their landscape architecture design group with young talent

December 6, 2017

Stantec’s Charleston office made an addition to their growing landscape architecture team with the hire of Blake Thomas as landscape designer. Blake will work with the Charleston group to continue providing the Lowcountry community with inventive designs for outdoor spaces.

While Thomas is a relatively new graduate, receiving his bachelor degree in landscape architecture from Clemson University, he already has a varied history designing inspired landscapes. He’s previously worked with several local design firms, working on projects like Andrews Chapel, 54 Station, Channing Park, and Meadows North. At Stantec, Thomas is providing concept sketches for intersection improvements, a firefighter’s memorial site, and construction documents for several parks and streetscapes.

“Blake’s passion, innovative design style, and work ethic is exactly what we were looking for”, says Jenny Horne, senior landscape architect and leader of Stantec’s Charleston landscape architecture group. “I know he’ll have an impressive impact on the concepts we create for our clients.”

Stantec’s landscape architect team encompasses more than 200 professionals covering more than 20 markets. Through analysis, planning and design, our team creates sustainable environments that are functional, innovative, and attractive. For more information, visit www.stantec.com.
