2018 Spoleto Festival USA Chairman announced

South State Bank’s Charleston Regional President Bill Medich has been elected Chairman of Spoleto Festival USA’s Board of Directors at a meeting held on October 27 in New York City.

Medich, who has served on the Spoleto Festival USA Board since 2002 and as Board President for the last 3 years, succeeds Ed Sellers who was elected Chairman Emeritus.

Founded in 1977, Spoleto Festival USA is America’s premier multi-disciplinary performing arts festival.  Each year the festival opens the Friday before Memorial Day and lasts for 17 days.

An active member of the community, Medich currently serves on the board of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and is past-president of the boards of the Coastal Community Foundation, Gibbes Museum of Art, and the College of Charleston Foundation.
