Horry County hires new Public Information Officer

Horry County names Kelly Moore as the new Public Information Officer. Her first day is Monday, November 13, 2017.

Moore grew up in South Carolina. She is a graduate of Clemson University and holds a Master of Public Administration from the College of Charleston. Moore served as the Audience Development Manager at North Carolina Stage Company in Asheville, North Carolina and most recently as the Public Relations and Event Coordinator with the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs in Charleston, South Carolina.

Moore’s responsibilities will include releasing information about County initiatives and updates. She will also manage the website for Horry County.  “I’m excited to be joining a great team,” says Moore; “I look forward to helping citizens engage with Horry County.”
