May 23, 2017

Erica Chase, licensed professional engineer and associate with Stantec in Charleston, has been elected Chairperson of the City of Charleston’s Design Review Board (DRB).  The DRB establishes a review process that protects and improves the visual and aesthetic character and economic value of development within the City of Charleston.

Chase has served on the Design Review Board since 2012. Her background includes both civil engineering design and project management. Her experience includes residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Chase is deeply involved in her local community. She is a past president of the Civil Engineers’ Club of Charleston and a graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s Sustainable Leadership Institute and Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Charleston. Chase was also named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2012.

“We are very proud of Erica as she continues to show leadership both within her profession and in our local community,” says Rick Day, Stantec Charleston’s office lead.
