SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar to raise money for Birthdays For All through Kitchen Karma program

April 19, 2017

Now through the end of May, SOL Southwest Kitchen and Tequila Bar in Mount Pleasant is partnering with Birthdays For All to raise funds for the charity through its Kitchen Karma program. The money raised will be used to help brighten the lives of children in Foster Care by providing birthday presents on their special day.

SOL will raise these funds through its Kitchen Karma program where the restaurant pairs up with a local charity to raise funds for that organization for a period of about six to eight weeks. With this program, SOL chooses a featured dish and a featured cocktail and donates $1 from every featured item purchased at SOL within that fundraising period. The featured items for the Birthdays For All partnership are the Tuna Lollipops and the Blueberry Margarita.

Birthdays For All operates on the belief that every child deserves to celebrate their birthday. The organization works with the South Carolina Department of Social Services to get wish lists from foster children in the Lowcountry so that they can receive the gifts they really want.

Before working with Birthdays For All, SOL’s most recent Kitchen Karma partnership was with Maia Moms, an organization that supports mothers, restores families, and helps single mother families achieve personal and economic self-sustainability . Over the six-week period, SOL raised a total of $1,639 for Maia Moms.
