Hovnanian® Homes welcomes Janis Stewart as New Home Specialist

REALTOR® Janis Stewart has joined K. Hovnanian® Homes as New Home Specialist at The Woodlands at Coosaw Point on Lady’s Island, located on the banks of the Coosaw River. K. Hovnanian® Homes is a division of Hovnanian Enterprises®, Inc. (NYSE:HOV), one of the top ten homebuilders in the U.S.

“I am delighted to be part of the K. Hovnanian® Homes team,” says Janis, a native South Carolinian and a graduate of the University of South Carolina, who has worked as a sales consultant for residential and custom home builders for the past 16 years.

She specializes in guiding homebuyers through the entire sales and construction process, and has assisted hundreds of individuals with their new home needs.

Following college, Janis first worked as an underwriter, then insurance agent for Colonial Life Insurance Company, but found that her true passion was real estate and construction. Interestingly, her love for real estate developed after her husband Stew joined a flying club and the two of them started flying all over the state.

“I discovered many beautiful parts of our state, and visited many outstanding communities. I first learned from the air what makes a new homes community special and successful– and then I found great joy and professional satisfaction in sharing my real estate expertise with my clients,” she says.

Stew and Janis both fell in love with the laid back lifestyle of the Sea Islands. After several flights to Beaufort County (SC) they decided to relocate to the Sea Islands where they and their daughter Christen, also a REALTOR®, enjoy coastal living. Janis’ favorite hobbies include flying, boating, shrimping and travel. She has two adorable dogs named Miles and Murphy.
