New HGTV Pilot “Charleston Charm” Featuring Charleston, S.C. to Premiere March 20th
February 29, 2016The pilot episode of “Charleston Charm” will premiere on HGTV Sunday, March 20 at 12:00 p.m. ET. The show features Ryan and Krystine Edwards from Mt. Pleasant renovating a Charleston home while showcasing the city’s architecture, lifestyle, landscapes and, of course, charm.
“History is alive and thrives in Charleston, but the city also has a great, cool vibe, which makes it an amazing place to live,” said Krystine, realtor at William Means and interior designer. “We want to show how much we care about keeping our city beautiful by helping others rejuvenate older homes and bringing in a little local charm.”
In the one-hour pilot episode, the Edwards help a young couple from California begin their Charleston roots with the selection and renovation of a Charleston home. They will choose among a beachfront property and two downtown, historic homes. The Edwards will complete the makeover with a little architectural and decorative charm. If the pilot is successful, Charleston Charm could become a series on HGTV.
Long-time sweethearts, the Edwards met in Charleston working together at a local software company. Their common interests and witty personalities create a fun, dynamic partnership. The couple enjoys tackling home projects and including their two young boys with hopes of building a family legacy. The couple has been restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of many Charleston homes for more than a decade.
