Porter Airlines returns to Myrtle Beach International Airport

February 11, 2016

Porter Airlines kicks-off its 7th year of flight operations at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). Seasonal service continues until May 23, up to 5 times weekly. Daily flights are available during the Canadian March Break school holiday.

On February 28, 2010, Porter Airlines introduced nonstop air service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and MYR. Since Porter entered the MYR market, it has flown more than 32,000 passengers to/from the Grand Strand.

The short flight from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport makes Myrtle Beach an ideal destination for a long weekend or extended stay.

“With everything from award-winning golf courses to water sports and beach-front resorts, Myrtle Beach continues to be a hot spot for Canadians with a variety of interests,” said Michael Deluce, Executive Vice-President and COO of Porter Airlines.

Connecting flights are available via Toronto for a number of other Canadian cities served by Porter. Complete schedule details are available at www.flyporter.com.

“Today we celebrate Porter Airlines’ 7th year of air service between two great airports,” said Pat Apone, director of airports. “Porter is a valuable partner, and Horry County Department of Airports appreciates the airlines continued commitment to the Myrtle Beach International Airport.”
