Mashburn Construction Celebrates 40 Years in Business

COLUMBIA, SC – Mashburn Construction is celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2016. Established by Harry Mashburn as a construction company dedicated to protecting the interests of its clients; Mashburn now has offices located in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville, S.C.
In 1962, during a surveying course at North Carolina State University, Mr. Mashburn sketched out the logo that would come to be used by the company for forty years.
By 1976, Mr. Mashburn founded the company with three employees and their first construction project was soon underway – a retail space of approximately 4,000 square feet on Beltline Boulevard. As the company expanded over the years, they outgrew their office on Middleburg Drive and, later, two historic buildings on Laurel Street. In 1998 the firm settled in at its current location on Sumter Street.
While the company has maintained a presence in Charleston for over 20 years and Myrtle Beach for over 10 years, two years ago Mashburn also opened the Greenville office to better serve the Upstate. In December 2015, Mashburn relocated its office to the heart of downtown Greenville. As the company continues to grow the desire to renew its image became a reality.
