Spirit Communications/Wireless Carrier expand coverage in the Carolinas
July 22, 2015COLUMBIA, SC – PalmettoNet, a Spirit Communications company and one of the largest providers of digital fiber optic networks in the Carolinas, has secured the contract to provide Fiber-to-the-Tower from one of the nation’s largest Wireless Carriers.
This is the single largest contract in the Southeast Region between the Carrier and PalmettoNet and enhances a significant long-term business relationship between the companies. The contract includes fiber to over 650 towers in Charleston, Greenville, and Columbia, South Carolina.

The new 20 year contract allows Spirit to extend its network in South Carolina and continue to be the premier provider of last mile services to both carrier and business customers. Over the next five years, Spirit will be adding new, high count fiber in both the metro and rural markets of South Carolina.
For over 30 years Spirit has served the needs of prominent telecommunications carriers including; data transport services, long haul high bandwidth, IP Transport, tower site construction, management and rental services for wireless carriers, enterprise, and government agencies.
