Continuing Education Division Offers Course for New SHRM and Certifications

CHARLESTON, SC – Trident Technical College Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development (TTC) is offering a new training program for human resource (HR) professionals to gain the new SHRM-CPTM (Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCPTM (Senior Certified Professional) certification in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The SHRM Learning System® for SHRM-CPTM and SHRM-SCPTM course will run from 6-9 p.m. on Mondays from Feb. 2-April 27, 2015 on Trident Technical College’s Main Campus in North Charleston and costs $1,119.

Those interested in learning more about the new certification can attend a free open house on Jan. 16, 2015 from 3:30-5 p.m. on Trident Technical College’s Main Campus in North Charleston in Bldg. 910, Rm. 122.
In 2014, SHRM announced that it was forming a new certification. The SHRM competency-based certification answers a critical need in the global marketplace. Employers expect more today and HR professionals must meet their expectations. This certification will demonstrate for HR professionals who they are, what they do and why it matters. It also helps protect organizations from risk by ensuring that their HR professionals are up-to-date on regulatory compliance issues.
