October 12, 2012CHARLESTON, SC – Fall Design Walk on Upper King Street is . For more than 12 years the Spring anThursday October 18from 5:00 to 8:00 PMd Fall DesignWalks have brought patrons and professionals from the design communityto the creative shops and showrooms on Upper King Street.
Featured shops, showrooms and galleries include:
Siematic, 444 King, will have local artisanal bladesmith Quintin Middleton of Middleton Made Knives demonstrating his cutlery. Enjoy prepared food by Fete Events and drinks from Cathead Vodka plus chances to win a gift basket from BBT Charleston Wine+FoodFestival. A meeting of CRAN (Custom Residential Architects Network) will follow the event.
Michael Mitchell Gallery, 483 King, will have an opening reception for artist Marissa Vogl, an abstract landscape artist with scenes that range from the decidedly soft and feminine to more guttural and earthy.
Haute Design, 489 King, will sponsor a silent auction to support Ronald McDonald House’s Operation Imagine to remodel one of the guest rooms into a more inviting place for a family to stay near a hospitalized child.
Circa Lighting, 426 King, will celebrate their grand re-opening after extensiverenovations to their showroom including sleek new window displays plus a raffle for a pair of lamps.
Seeking Indigo, 445 King, is celebrating their third year on King Street. Music, food,wine, massage, Tarot readings, reiki, and metabolic assessments.
