CHARLESTON, SC – September 27, 2012 – Fashion Group International ® of Charleston presents the Design 2012 & Beyond event, a cocktail party, presentation and discussion forum at the historic William Aiken House on Thursday, September 27th from 6:00-9:30 p.m.  Design 2012 & Beyond will bring together four of the most talented individuals in thefields of hospitality, interior & architectural design and lightingto discuss key issues facing these important industries.  Theworld-renowned speakers include:

title=Clodagh: Adesign icon ranked as one of Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Designersin the World and Robb Report’s Top 10 Interior Designers in the World,who is an inductee in the Interior Design Hall of Fame and theHospitality Design Platinum Circle.  She has been feted as the FashionGroup International Star of the Year for her wide array of projectsincluding Miraval in Tucson, W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and Sasanquaat the Kiawah Island Club.  Clodagh oversees three distinctivebusiness divisions: Clodagh Design International coveringinterior and architectural design for international commercial,residential, retail, healthcare and hospitality projects; Clodagh Design Signature for licensing and product design of furniture, lighting, tiles,bathroom, accessories and fixtures, bedding, textiles, tabletop,carpets and fashion; and Clodagh Collection which is the online gallery showroom for her licensed products.

title=Brian Orter:  A leading lighting industry expert and veteran, Mr. Orter has workedon some of the most respected architectural projects in the world.  Inthe hospitality segment, these projects include the W Hotel in MiamiBeach and the Round Hill Hotel in Jamaica.  Restaurant and clubsprojects such as Prime in Arizona, the Clock Bar in San Francisco,

Il Pitore in Philadelphia and Marquee in New YorkCity as well as corporate offices of Bloomberg in New York and theCultural Center in Ecuador are representative of his incrediblework. Mr. Orter’s lighting designs are in retail stores like Quiksilver,Uniqlo in Shanghai and Clinique in Rio as well as residential projectssuch as Gramercy Starck in New York City and Maha Nakhon in Bangkok.  Mr. Orter has received the prestigious IES National Award for LightingDesign for his work on Trump Soho in New York.  Mr. Orter is a principalof BOLD: Brian Orter Lighting Design, LLC.

Victor Ermoli: aglobal design innovator, Mr. Ermoli is the dean of the School ofDesign at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and an activemember of the Industrial Designers Society of America.  He was namedas one of Business Week’s top 40 Under 40 designers in America, oneof the best Forty Under Thirty industrial designers and one of theMost Influential Educators by Design Intelligence. He holds

three design degrees from the United States,Venezuela and Canada and is the co-founder, President and CEO of TheBusiness Accelerator ™, an organization that seeks to discover, developand activate the growth of the ventures that create the products ofthe future.
