Upper King Design District Spring Design Walk Thursday April 19
April 12, 2012CHARLESTON, SC – Upper King Street’s decade-long tradition, Spring Design Walk will take place Thursday, April 19 with the official opening by Mayor Pro Tem Dean Riegel at SieMatic.
SieMatic, which launched their Charleston presence at Design Walk three years ago, will introduce an iconic new kitchen concept, BeauxArts.02. Joining them will be celebrated blade smith Quinton Middleton, whose Middleton Made Knives have appeared in Garden & Gun, Madame Noire and Buzzfeed Blogs and a number of renowned chef kitchens nationwide. Siematic is located at 444 King Street.
The Designers at Haute Design will host a reception to raise money for their Ronald McDonald House project, where a tired dorm room will turn into a lovely sanctuary for a family in need of comfort and support. Haute Design is at 489 King.
Michael Mitchell Gallery,438 King Street, will host openings for artists Debbie Martin and Susan Colwell. Morris Sokol Furniture, downtown Charleston’s favorite household furnisher at 489 King will also host a reception.
Restaurants in the Upper King Street area will welcome Design Walk strollers with specialty cocktails and dishes.
