Coastal Kids Dental & Braces is participating in the Lowcountry Food Bank Holiday Food Drive

CHARLESTON, SC – November 11, 2011 – This holiday season Coastal Kids Dental & Braces is participating in the Lowcountry Food Bank canned food drive. At both office locations, Hanahan & Moncks Corner, they will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items through Wednesday, December 14th.
The food drive will conclude on Wednesday, December 14th with a Cocoa, Cookies & Canned Food Drive party at Coastal Kids main office in Hanahan. For each food item donated participants will receive a ticket, which can be exchanged to play games and create crafts while enjoying cookies and a hot chocolate bar.
“We are very excited to help the Lowcountry Food Bank and the families they support through the holiday season,” said Dr. Isabel Driggers, Founder & Owner of Coastal Kids Dental & Braces. “Our goal is to collect 500 nonperishable food items in an effort to help raise awareness of hunger in the Lowcountry.”
The Lowcountry Food Bank is a clearinghouse for donated food products that are distributed to a network of more than 320 member agencies including soup kitchens, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries. The Lowcountry Food Bank’s mission is to feed the hungry of the ten coastal counties of South Carolina by soliciting and distributing healthy food and grocery products to nonprofit agencies serving the poor and by educating the public about the problems of and solutions to domestic hunger.
