Holiday Tennis Classic Presented By Allstate / Wally Burbage Agency to Raise Funds for MUSC Hollings Cancer Center

CHARLESTON, SC – December 2 – 4, 2011 – The Family Circle Tennis Center will host its fourth annual Holiday Tennis Classic presented by Allstate / Wally Burbage Agency, from December 2 – 4, 2011 on Daniel Island. This is the only Adult Level 3 USTA-sanctioned event in South Carolina in the month of December, and it will be comprised of 2.5 – 9.0 level mixed and doubles players. Participants can enter for $65.00 to compete in one or both events via USTA’s TennisLink using tournament number 704126711 until the registration deadline at 11:59pm on November 27th. The Family Circle Tennis Center, home of the Family Circle Cup, is a 32-acre award-winning public tennis facility located in the Best Tennis Town in America, Charleston, SC.
“Our goal is to raise a significant amount of money to advance adult cancer patient treatment. We donated over $4,000 to MUSC’s Hollings Cancer Center last year, and we’ve set a goal of $5,000 for this year’s tournament,” said Nancy Heinz, Membership Manager, Family Circle Tennis Center. “Everyone who participates in this annual event will have a great time, and all for a wonderful cause!”
MUSC will hold a raffle prior to, as well as during the tournament, to raise additional funds.
Some of the prizes raffled on Sunday, December 4th will include:

- SpiritLine Harbor Dinner Cruise for two people
Food and beverages will be provided for tournament participants throughout the event. This tournament will coincide with 2011 Holiday Festival on Daniel Island scheduled from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 3 in Family Circle Stadium.
All tournament participants are asked to bring a gift donation for an adult cancer patient. Suggested items include hats, lap blankets, individually wrapped snacks, which will be collected at the event and donated at the conclusion of the tournament.
