Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island Offers Free Tickets to All Military Personnel and Families

“Military Weekend Presented by Navistar Defense”, Free Entry with Military ID

CHARLESTON, SC – October 19, 2011 – The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island this year has partnered with Navistar Defense to offer Military Weekend Presented by Navistar, where all military personnel and their families will be granted free admission to every session of professional golf, Oct. 27- 30, 2011.  The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island, scheduled October 24-30, 2011, is the Tour’s exciting season-ending event where the top 60 money winners compete for 25 PGA TOUR cards and a spot on the 2012 PGA TOUR.

“Charleston has such a strong military presence, so we’re inviting our servicemen and women to take advantage of this offer and join us on Daniel Island for a relaxing weekend watching world-class golf.

We’re thrilled to partner with Navistar on this important initiative, and we’re honored and proud to support the military who serve us every day,” said Denis J. Gallagher, tournament chairman of the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island, and chairman of the Student Transportation of America Education Foundation (STAEF).

Navistar Defense will be exhibiting one of their new state-of-the-art military vehicles called the International® MaxxPro® at the event.  The International® MaxxPro® Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle is built to withstand environments that threaten the safety of its crew.

Military personnel and their families can acquire free tickets at the venue’s ticket office at the Daniel Island Club, located adjacent to the main entrance, by simply showing a valid military ID.  The ticket office will be open from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm daily, from October 24 – 30.

Gallagher added, “Navistar has been a great supporter of our Foundation through their IC Bus Division for the last three years, and this new addition will help us add to our scholarship fund for local area students attending nearby colleges.”
