Allstate Insurance Company Appoints Executive for Southeast Region

CHARLESTON, SC – February 7, 2011 – Allstate Insurance Company recently announced the appointment of Bob Holden to Field Vice President for the company’s Southeast Region, which includes the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
In this role, Holden will be responsible for all strategy, operations, and distribution in the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, which includes more than 1,200 exclusive Allstate agents and over 100 financial specialists.
Holden comes to the Southeast Region from Allstate’s New York Region, where he was the Field Vice President since August 2008. As the Field Vice President for the New York Region, Holden managed all facets of one of the Fortune 100 Company’s largest field operations.
During his 31-year tenure at Allstate, Holden has held numerous sales leadership positions. He joined Allstate Insurance Company in the Claims Department in 1980 and, soon after, transitioned to the sales department. Prior to joining the New York Region, he had leadership positions in the company’s Northeast Region, based in Pennsylvania.
For decades, he has also proudly participated in various not-for-profit endeavors. In 2010, he was named to the Board of Directors for the Long Island Association, the largest business organization in New York State and the leading organization in the Long Island region. In 2009, Holden was appointed to the Presidents’ Advisory Council at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Additionally, during his five-year tenure in Allstate’s New York Region, he was actively involved in the company’s commitment to encouraging safe driving among teens. Holden was also extremely active in his community’s local athletics teams and a member of the Life Underwriters’ Board in Pennsylvania.
Holden is a graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
Holden and his wife Chris have two children, Nick and Ryan. They reside in Marietta, Ga.
