Ogletree Deakins Welcomes Rick Fisher

February 2, 2011

CHARLESTON, SC – February 2, 2011 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the nation’s largest labor and employment law firms, is pleased to welcome Frederick (Rick) Fisher to the firm’s Charleston office.  Prior to joining the firm, Fisher was an associate with Hood Law Firm LLC in Charleston.  In his practice, Fisher focuses on management-side employment litigation, including the defense of claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge and breach of employment contracts. His practice has also recently expanded to include business and environmental defense litigation.

“Rick is a strong addition to our office and will be of great service to clients and colleagues with his litigation background given the rise in employment litigation and the sharp increase in certain employment claims that management continues to face,” said Eric Schweitzer, managing shareholder for Ogletree Deakins’ Charleston office.

Fisher earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003.  There, he served as Managing Editor for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, and Treasurer for the Moot Court Bar.
