Santee Cooper 2009 Environmental Annual Report Is Online

MONCKS CORNER, SC – October 6, 2010 –  Santee Cooper’s 2009 Environmental Annual Report is now available at www.santeecooper.com. The digital publication provides an overview of the environmental progress Santee Cooper made in the calendar year 2009.

Highlights include an in-depth interview with Marc Tye, vice president of Conservation and Renewable Energy; an update of Santee Cooper’s Environmental Management System; and environmental statistics for the year.

The theme for the 2009 Environmental Annual Report is “Ambition. Innovation. Recognition. Dedication.”

  • Ambition references the inception of Santee Cooper’s new Reduce the Use energy efficiency and conservation program.
  • Innovation covers strides the state-owned utility made in the growth, development and research into renewable energy.
