CHARLESTON, SC – September 15, 2010 – Dr. David Geier is an orthopaedic surgeon and a nationally renowned sports medicine expert, appearing in numerous national publications – including USA Today, The Washington Post and Women’s Health Magazine – and podcasts/videos as a source for sports-injury related information.
As an athlete, his passion for sports influenced him to become an orthopaedic surgeon. After earning his fellowship in Sports Medicine in 2005, he returned to Charleston and created the MUSC Sports. He has almost a decade of experience with professional and college athletes, serving as team/tournament physician for the Family Circle Cup, the Charleston Battery and Washington University. He also assisted in the orthopaedic care of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, United States Women’s Soccer team and the Eagles USA Ruby national team.
