Applebee’s aims to raise $145,000 for kids battling critical illnesses
April 4, 2018Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Grill & Bar, is excited to kick off its annual Make-A-Wish® South Carolina fundraising campaign. The fundraiser will take place from April 1 to April 30 in participating Apple Gold Group restaurants throughout South Carolina.
“Being able to grant a child’s wish and see the happiness it brings is a special gift and we are thankful to be a small part of the process,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of Apple Gold Group. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Make-A-Wish South Carolina and hope that each community will come out to help us surpass our goal this year.”
Wish Cards will be available for purchase by guests dining at any of Applebee’s South Carolina locations. Proceeds from the Wish Cards will help grant wishes for children in the Carolinas who are battling critical illnesses. The end goal is over $145,000, which is about 19 wishes for local children that help provide renewed energy and hope to kids when they need it most. As a thank you, each Wish Card is good for $10 in Applebee’s discounts.
“We are deeply grateful to Applebee’s for its steadfast and very generous support of Make-A-Wish South Carolina’s important mission to children. Together, we are transforming lives. From ownership and senior leadership to the frontline associates in the stores, Applebee’s embodies the spirit of hope and joy of the Make-A-Wish vision.” said Bill Tiller, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina. “Because of the charitable investments made by Applebee’s, its associates and its customers, more kids in South Carolina will have a wish to help them find purpose, joy and relief in a time when those feel less than abundant. We value and appreciate our partnership with Applebee’s and Apple Gold Group.”
