BASF wins Business Black Box “Green Award”

MAULDIN, SC – Recently, BASF’s Mauldin and White Stone, South Carolina sites accepted the 2016 Business Black Box magazine’s “Green Award.” The award recognizes South Carolina companies or individuals focused on protecting the environment and promoting energy efficiency. BASF received this honor for their dedication to energy-saving, environmentally friendly methods of materials production.

“Our employees at BASF are dedicated to developing sustainable solutions to respond to the current and future needs of society,” said Neville Lockwood, Manager of BASF’s Mauldin and White Stone sites. “We show this dedication through our work as well as our commitment to our local communities here in South Carolina.”

BASF sites in Mauldin and White Stone support a wide range of community initiatives. In 2015, the White Stone site participated in Hub City Farmer’s Market Earth Day community garden project, while the Mauldin site supports the Eastside and GHS Family YMCA’s summer camp program. BASF employees are active members of the local community and the company is a member of the “Responsible Care” program of the American Chemistry Council.
