Cindy MacAulay Honored with Women To Watch Award

GREENVILLE, SC – Cindy MacAulay, CPA/CFF, CDFA and director at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP was recently honored at the 2014 Women in Leadership Conference in Columbia, S.C. Out of the 6500+ Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the state of South Carolina, only four were named Women to Watch by the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The Women to Watch Award highlights the accomplishments of women in the CPA profession. MacAulay won the Emerging Leader Award, which is defined as “a professional who has made significant contributions to the profession and her community” who is projected to reach the highest levels of advancement.

MacAulay has been with Dixon Hughes Goodman since 1996, and was recently promoted to director. Primarily, she serves domestic financial matters including calculation of income for determination of child/spousal support, tax consulting for divorce cases, forensic accounting, tracing of non-martial vs. marital funds and pension valuations. She is qualified as an expert in financial matters by various local family courts in South Carolina and is frequently called to testify as an expert in family court financial matters.

Within the firm, she is active in the Women Forward Initiative, a program that supports firm-wide awareness and programs to assist women in the profession. She is an active member of SCACPA and AICPA, is a guest lecturer at the Charleston School of Law and serves on the board of directors as treasurer for Veteran Golfers Association (vgagolf.org).
