Free homework help available at local students’ fingertips

As children and teens across the Midlands ease into their back-to-school routines, Richland Library wants to equip them with the tools needed for a successful academic year.
Over the last three years, we have provided a library card to every student in Richland School District One and Richland School District Two through the ConnectED Library Challenge. Whether working on a homework assignment, school project or research paper, that card provides students access to a variety of free resources, including:
Tutor.com – Connect with a live tutor daily and access thousands of homework, test prep and career resources
Mango Languages – Master a foreign language, using audio and visual learning methods
Lynda.com – Explore more than 3,500 web-based video courses
Safari Tech Books Online – Load more than 9,000 titles for IT, business and graphic design
Downloadable books, music and movies through Overdrive, Freegal, hoopla and Kanopy
In an effort to foster a healthy and productive learning environment, our Main location (1431 Assembly Street) also offers the following, dedicated spaces in the Children’s Room, which reopened to the public after renovation and reconfiguration earlier this year:
Homework Zone – Utilize computers in this safe, quiet space that is designed exclusively for homework for children, ages 5-12
Education Studio – Discover a carefully curated collection, multi-sensory materials and expert staff who are fully equipped to support emerging readers
