Local attorney to speak at music industry showcase and conference

GREENVILLE, SC – David Wyatt, a partner with the Gleaton Wyatt law firm, will speak at the New Music Confab in Charleston this weekend.
New Music Confab will take place Thursday, August 25 to Saturday, August 27. Wyatt will be a panelist for “Let’s Make a Record Deal” on Saturday, August 27 at 1 p.m. Attendees of the panel will walk away with a better understanding of the different types of record labels and record label deals.
The New Music Confab brings music industry professionals from all areas of the Artist Development process: radio, record labels, managers, agents, festival and concert promotion, sound and video production, social media, and of course, New Music Artists, to discover and learn from each other.
“New Music Confab is a great way to ensure that new artists are given invaluable insight into the business, to guide them through important career decisions so they can work smarter,” Wyatt said.
David S. Wyatt is a partner at Gleaton Wyatt, PA and an adjunct professor of Sports and Entertainment Law at the USC School of Law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and law from Clemson University and his law degree from the USC School of Law. He is the Chairman/President of the SC football Hall of Fame and the Director of Player Development for the Medal of Honor Bowl. He also serves as Chair of the SC Solo and Small Firm Section of the South Carolina Bar.
