Morton & Gettys’ Duncan appointed to cultural commission

October 16, 2015

ROCK HILL, SC – James David Duncan, an attorney with Morton & Gettys, has been appointed to the York County Cultural and Heritage Commission.

The commission oversees four facilities: Historic Brattonsville, the Museum of York County, McCelvey Center and the Main Street Children’s Museum in Old Town Rock Hill. It was created in 1997, but its roots date back to the 1950 opening of the Children’s Nature Museum of Rock Hill.

Duncan’s term on the seven-member commission began Sept. 28 and runs through July 2017.

A York County native, Duncan joined Morton & Gettys in August. His practice focuses on family law.
