NAI Avant procures entire floor tenant at University of South Carolina Innovation Center

NAI Avant is pleased to announce the addition of Electric Guard Dog to the Innovation Center, located in the Innovation research district in Downtown Columbia at 550 Assembly Street. Represented by NAI Avant senior broker Rob Lapin, Electric Guard Dog will occupy 20,572 square feet of space in the $25 million building that opened earlier this year.
Electric Guard Dog integrates new technologies into world-class electric security fence systems, designed to stop crime before it happens. Founded in 1973, the company has captured a dominant share of the national perimeter security market and has grown into a multifaceted security business.

The Innovation Center is a ±110,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the University of South Carolina’s campus. Joining IBM and the university, Electric Guard Dog will occupy an entire floor and will be the third tenant in the building. The Center allows the university, IBM, and private sector researchers to use technology for a host of real-world applications.
