O’Neal ranks fifth consecutive year on the Best Places to Work in South Carolina List

GREENVILLE, SC – O’Neal, Inc., a Greenville-based integrated design and construction firm, has ranked No. 17 for medium and small business on the list of Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The ranked companies were recognized at a reception and dinner, presented by Colonial Life, Thursday night.
“We are honored to be named to this list for a fifth consecutive year,” said Kevin Bean, president and CEO of O’Neal. “Our employees-owners are critical to the company’s success. Without them we would not be able to provide services that create solutions for our customers.”
The Best Places to Work in South Carolina survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the state, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. This program is created annually in partnership by SC Biz News, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. This is the eleventh year since the start of the program, and the list of employers is made up of 60 companies.
To be considered, companies entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.

The annual list of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina is brought to you by SCBIZ magazine, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group. Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
