Release Party for Gallabrae Scottish Ale set

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Gallabrae Scottish Ale debuts next week as part of the countdown to the 2016 Greenville Scottish Games.
This is one of three announcements from the organizers of the annual games today. The others include the release of the official 2016 GSG Poster, which was produced by local artist Dumah Morgan (more of Morgan’s work can be found on his website) as well as the launch of the latest issue of The Dirk – the online publication about the Greenville Scottish Games.
But back to the Gallabrae Scottish Ale, which will be debuted on Friday, April 1 from
5:30 p.m. to 7:30p.m. at the Thomas Creek Brewery, 2054 Piedmont Highway, Greenville.
The celebration will feature City of Greenville Pipes and Drums as well as many kilted participants of the Greenville Scottish Games. Official video releases for Gallabrae Scottish Ale will be aired as well.
Gallabrae Scottish Ale is “fearlessly brewed” the Scottish way – “it is the official beer of the Greenville Scottish Games,” said Jay Spivey, the marketing director for the games.
Gallabrae Scottish Ale is a bright umber true Scottish Ale based on a 60 shilling recipe. Sticking with old world traditions, Gallabrae utilizes the aromas and flavors of peated malt to round out lightly toasted caramel, while earthy notes from Noble English hops provide a balanced finish.
“The Gallabrae Scottish Ale is another way we are showing Greenville’s appreciation for the Scottish culture,” Spivey said.
