Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP hosts Third Annual Furman University Juried Art Competition – December 15 to January 11

December 7, 2017

Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP will host the third annual Furman University Juried Art Competition beginning Dec. 15, 2017 and ending Jan. 11, 2018.

During this event, Furman University art students will display their work in the lobby of Smith Moore Leatherwood’s Greenville office. The lobby will be open to the public on weekdays from 8:30a.m. until 5p.m., during which time exhibited pieces will be available to purchase. This year talented student artists submitted works in two and three-dimensional media, including fabric, painting and drawing, electronic media, photography and sculpture.

A reception will be held at the conclusion of the event on Jan. 11, 2018. During the reception, a winner, selected by a panel of judges, will be announced and his or her art will be purchased by the firm and will remain on display as part of the firm’s permanent collection.

“We are thrilled to sponsor this event for the third consecutive year,” said Natalma M. McKnew, Smith Moore Leatherwood partner. “This program is a wonderful opportunity to support Furman and emerging young artists while at the same time engaging with the community. Best of luck to all of the participating students!”

Furman University is a private, coeducational liberal arts college in Greenville, South Carolina.
