Truematter User Experience expert to speak at UX Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria
November 1, 2018Dean Schuster, partner and founder at user experience consulting firm truematter, will speak at the UX Sofia Design & Usability Conference on November 9 in Sofia, Bulgaria. His presentation, “How Green Was My Delusion: The False Consensus Effect,” explores the science behind user experience and how human behavior (as seen in the false consensus effect) often leads to unsuccessful, confusing websites and applications. Through a story about an awkward Valentine’s Day present he once gave, Dean shows how we can recognize the false consensus effect and keep it from negatively impacting the digital products we create.
Dean will also host a workshop at the conference, centering around creating a “User Experience Roadmap,” a powerful tool for defining a new web project’s strategy and success. Learning how to create this invaluable document will give attendees hands-on experience with planning a site or app for real people instead of for themselves.
Dean is excited to participate in UX Sofia and share his user experience expertise to help others create useful, usable digital products. “Great user experience work is being done in Bulgaria and surrounding countries,” says Dean. “I’m eager to stoke the fires of user centered design in Sofia!”
