United Community Bank Angel Tree provides over 300 holiday gifts to Upstate children

December 10, 2018

United Community Bank announced its Upstate branches provided 354 Christmas gifts to local children through its annual Angel Tree program. Participating branches placed Christmas trees in their lobbies with “Be an Angel” tags displaying information for deserving children. United partnered with a variety of social service agencies and humanitarian organizations across the Upstate to carry out the initiative.

“United Community Bank is dedicated to improving local communities, and we are thrilled to once again provide well deserved gifts to local children this the holiday season,” said Michelle Seaver, President of United Community Bank for Greenville. “Each year our team looks forward to this tradition as it not only allows us to contribute to children in need, but also fills us with joy to know we are helping others.”

Eight different Upstate organizations partnered with United this season, including Laurens Social Services, Greenwood Social Services, Pickens County Salvation Army, Abbeville Social Services, Cherokee County Social Services, DSS – Spartanburg County, Greenville County Foster Parents Association and Anderson County DSS. All items donated were new and unwrapped.
