Charleston Metro Chamber announces Thrive: A Professional Women’s Series
April 3, 2019Charleston Metro Chamber has announced the transition from Executive Women’s Roundtable to Thrive: A Professional Women’s Series presented by Benefitfocus and Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A.
Thrive provides a platform for connection, information and inspiration between female business leaders and rising female professionals. Women within Chamber member companies will gain knowledge about topics that impact their professional lives and will be able to encourage each other to continue making positive impacts in our region and the world.
“I am thrilled to be serving as the Thrive Steering Committee Chair as we build and grow this series,” said Jamie Tozzi, General Manager at Microsoft. “I am excited to be a part of providing a strong, inclusive platform for women across the Chamber’s membership to continue to empower and motivate one another.”
Jean Meeks-Koch, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Positively People led a visioning session with a variety of women from Chamber member companies to hear their perspective on what the Charleston Metro Chamber’s programming for women should look like moving into 2019. Based on their feedback, the Charleston Metro Chamber created a platform that brings together women across different industries throughout the year to identify and discuss key issues in an environment that promotes inclusion and connections for all career levels.
“Thrive Women’s series offers a great opportunity for the powerful women in our membership to connect and to continue paving ways in our region,” said Bryan Derreberry, President and CEO of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
