2018 Bridge Awards winners announced

The Home Builders Association of Greenville recognized industry excellence at its Sixth Annual Bridge Awards Gala held last Thursday, April 4, at The Poinsett Club. The Bridge Awards Gala honors individuals and companies for their impact on the housing industry through superior craftsmanship and excellence in sales and marketing.

“Congratulations to the best home building and remodeling professionals in the Upstate,” Matt Shouse, President of the HBA of Greenville, said. “The judging process gets harder each year because so many incredible homes being built in our market and submitted into the Bridge Awards. We are proud of our outstanding members and their extraordinary work.”

The 2018 Bridge Awards is presented by GBS Building Supply, and sponsored by Progress Lighting, Ryan Homes, Piedmont Natural Gas, Jeff Lynch Appliance & TV Center, Clark’s Termite & Pest Control, The Greenville News Media Group, Palmetto Exterminators Inc., Acopia Home Loans, BB&T, Essex Homes, Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet, and MNI Direct.

The 2018 Winners include:

  • James Speer, APB, CarsonSpeer Builders—Builder of the Year
  • Mike Freeman, APB, ACA/Freewood Contractors—Remodeler of the Year
  • Ben Moseley, The Heirloom Companies—Associate of the Year
  • Sarah Ratcliff, Michael’s Janitorial—Professional Woman in Building Award
  • Rick Quinn, Quinn Satterfield, Inc.—Distinguished Service Award

The Home Builders Association also honored and thanked Greenville City Councilwoman Amy Ryberg Doyle for her 13 years of service to the citizens of the City of Greenville. Councilwoman Doyle was presented with the Champion of Housing Award.

The Home Builders Association of Greenville was founded on January 16, 1960. The association was officially organized and chartered as an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders on that date in 1960.
